Verify a lawyer with ČAK

Every lawyer must be listed in the Czech Bar Association register. The official search lets you confirm the registration and find lawyers by specialisation (criminal law), region and language.

What to look for

Specialisation in criminal law and defence (ideally also economic crime).
Region and availability — who will realistically be reachable.
Languages, if you need to communicate other than in Czech.
A clearly agreed scope of mandate and fee model.
Experience with similar cases.

Colonela deliberately does not publish public lawyer "ratings" — they tend to be manipulable and unfair. Your own control overview is more valuable: what was agreed, what was done and what remains. You keep it directly in your case file.

You still have the right to a defence. Ask about free or court-appointed legal aid — you can also ask ČAK directly.
